:Vocal Mix
"We like this very much ... its a lovely track and one that i think has legs." - Audio Sushi (Razzmatazz)
"Quirky and cool. Like it" - Phil Drummond , Retox@Sosho & Breakfast@Egg
With a simple and catchy vocal-hook from the angel-voiced Kirsty Hawkshaw, this has sunshine anthem written all over it. Following the tradition of pioneers like Orbital and Mark Pritchard, producer Hue Jah Fink? blends genres to chisel his niche. This mix marries funky breaks with the spaciousness of dub and the uplifting elements of house.
The subtlety and fine craftsmanship of the sounds combined with simple vocal lines and a timeless feel make this a track you’ll still drop in years to come.
:Darkest Dub Mix
“This is
sick….. damn!” - Starkey, Planet Mu, Trouble and Bass
“Wicked, outstanding mix of this track. Definitely getting the sushi thumbs up! 5stars” – Mister Sushi, Botchit & Scarper
This is minimal taken to maximum effect. The downbeats step so heavily you’d be excused for thinking Godzilla was walking past. Kirsty’s vocal contribution adds a generous character and spooky ambience to the track, mixing staccato stabs with eerie vocal textures which scream by like the thousands of tortured souls released from a collapsing skyscraper.
The sparse heaviness would appeal to those who like Babylon System & Noah D’s ‘Examination of Time’, Chase & Status ‘Eastern Jam’, DJ Distance ‘Cyclops’ or even the early works of Aphex Twin.
But this is no copycat track, and like all those classic steppers – this has a charm all of its own.
:Silent Partner DnB Mix
“Brilliant. 5 stars.” -
Darren Gerhold, Galaxy Radio FM & Digital, UK
“phat! boing! full support!” - Marc Roberts, Snowbombing, Bugged Out, Creamfields……
An airy intro creates an enchanting spell, but within this vision of beauty, danger lurks.
The first drop reveals a deep rhythm underpinned by a rolling low-end. The fluid groove is shaken up with some twisted edits coming at all the right points. By the second drop the bassline refuses to rest and lifts the track to a higher level with more aggressive modulation and deep, pounding sub.
Straddling several strains of DNB this mix marries dancefloor friendly heaviness with enough movement and musicality that will keep even the most discerning ears happy.
Will appeal to fans of Kryptic Minds & Leon Switch, Teebee, Commix, Seba & Naibu.
:The Tempest Mix
“This is
a complete banger of a tune. The drop on it is mental” – Warlock, Rag n Bone
“This is so, so cool!! Amazing tune, great production … More!!!” - Clint Maximus, Energy
107.6 – Cyprus
From within the bleakness of the fog and rain, a monster stirs from sleep.
This very moody dubstep mix features a stirring intro and breakdown that wouldn’t sound out of place on Alien or Predator. But this ain’t all about the atmosphere….
While the groove is simple, the subs and reece-style basses are sick as sin. The twisted circus-like synth could easily have been laid down by the clown from Stephen King’s IT after a seriously arduous crack session.
This is one for fans of Excision, Rottun Recordings, DZ, Skream, Noiz and Distance.
:Rinse Mix
“amenalicious!”
- Acid Jacks, Trouble and Bass
“dirty! nice like it!” - Hexadecimal, Spectrum UK
Do you like amens? Do you like bass? Well, get yer laughing gear round this filthy DnB beast, you know you love it!
